Abstract Submission
Submitting Abstracts
The proceedings of the SES 2007 conference will consist of one-page abstracts. All contributed and invited abstracts must be submitted by June 30, 2007 in order to be reviewed for possible inclusion in SES 2007. Authors are required to indicate whether the abstract is intended for a general session or for a particular symposium. Abstracts intended for a particular symposium will be forwarded to the proper symposium organizer(s) for review. General session abstracts will be reviewed by the local organizing committee. Abstracts may be approved, returned to the author with required changes, or rejected in the review process. Since abstracts will be printed "as is," it is essential that the authors submit grammatically correct abstracts.
Abstracts must be electronically uploaded to the conference server. To upload a new abstract, click the button below. In case of uploading difficulties, contact the Technical Chairs, Profs. Dimitris Lagoudas and Jay Humphrey at ses2007@tamu.edu. Abstracts must be entered as plain text, and are typeset into PDF format using LaTeX. You can copy and paste text from Word, and this website will attempt to properly convert special characters to their LaTeX equivalents, however not all Word formatting can be preserved. The PDF must not exceed one page in length. A very brief LaTeX tutorial is available here: LaTeX tutorial. We strongly recommend that you review the tutorial before you submit your abstract. The abstract submission form requires that your browser has JavaScript enabled.
Authors must pay the early registration fee for their abstracts to appear in the proceedings (see dates below). Early registration fees will be partially refunded in the event an author cannot attend the conference. The registration form is available on the Registration Page.
Viewing Submitted Abstracts
Submitted abstracts are forwarded to symposium organizers for review. Symposium organizers will either: accept the abstract as is, accept the abstract with revisions, or reject the abstract. When the symposium organizers evaluate your abstract, you will receive email notification of your abstract's status. Authors may view the abstracts that they have submitted by logging on with their email address and password at this page below:
Author Log On
Your email address is the same address you used when you first submitted your abstract. Authors may obtain their password from the password page below:
Obtain Author Password
Passwords will be sent from the password page to you by email. If you have lost your password, simply go back to the password page at the above link and request your password again. Send an email to ses2007@tamu.edu if you have difficulties with accessing your list of abstracts.
In the case where an abstract is accepted with revisions, your notification email would contain a link to a page on this website where you could edit your abstract and resubmit it. Any abstract that is accepted with revisions may also be accessed and revised from the list of abstracts that you see when you log on. Abstracts that are accepted as is, or rejected may not be edited. If you need to make any corrections to an abstract that has been accepted as is, contact ses2007@tamu.edu for assistance.
Special Publications
Full-length papers may also be published separately on the initiative of individual symposium organizers. Contact your symposium organizer or the conference Technical Chairs, Profs. Dimitris Lagoudas and Jay Humphrey at ses2007@tamu.edu, for additional information on special publications.
